Novi, Mich., JUNE 7, 2017 – Valens, the developer of HDBaseT and co-founder of the HDBaseT Alliance, is introducing the VA6000 HDBaseT Automotive integrated circuit. The VA6000 enables symmetric tunneling of multimedia content, with native networking capabilities over a single unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable for up to 15 meters (50 feet).
HDBaseT Automotive brings clear benefits to the connected car, including:
- Unprecedented high bandwidth
- Top performance, with near-zero latency transmission for the best end-user experience;
- Feature-rich capabilities, supporting multiple simultaneous streams of multimedia content;
- Highly robust and EMC-resistant solution, with adaptive mechanisms to handle noise, cable aging, temperature changes and more, with no need for cable grounding.
The VA6000 can be used as a point-to-point tunneling solution for several applications running simultaneously over a single cable, or in daisy-chain topology, providing the infrastructure for next-generation automotive infotainment networks.
“Valens continues to make significant strides toward optimizing in-vehicle connectivity, and the VA6000 showcases the benefits HDBaseT Automotive offers. Within our connected cars, the underlying infrastructure is critical to guarantee a safe and enjoyable driving experience. Our goal is to provide the superior performance while simplifying and optimizing network design and reducing time-to-market costs.”
